Lauren Ricci (b.2001) can count by twos and tie her shoes. She can button buttons and zip zippers. She can draw pictures of herself in rectangles, and landscapes in even bigger rectangles. Lauren likes combining opposing forces, central compositions, and white t-shirts.

Lauren explores materiality through painting, punch-needling, and printmaking. The themes of her work often revolves around queerness and the moon. She earned her BFA in painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art and currently lives and works in Upstate New York.
